Rental Property Tracker

£6.00 GBP

Rent, costs and renewal dates for every property you let, in one place. See what's been paid, what's late and what each property makes.

What's inside

  • Dashboard: rent due, rent received, expenses, profit and money still owed for each property, with a month by month table and chart
  • Properties: up to 6 properties with value, mortgage, equity, monthly rent, gross yield, tenant and deposit details
  • Rent Log: every payment due, with a status of paid, part paid, due or late
  • Expenses: costs by property and category, with totals for the year and a check on receipts
  • Renewals: gas safety, electrical reports, energy certificates, insurance and anything else that repeats, with next due dates and a due soon flag

Good for

  • Landlords with one to six properties
  • Keeping a year's rent and costs together for your tax return or accountant
  • Never losing track of when a safety check or insurance renewal is due

Good to know

  • The year starts on 6 April to match the UK tax year, and you can change it
  • It is a record keeping tool. It doesn't work out your tax, it isn't Making Tax Digital software, and it isn't tax or legal advice
  • Landlords above HMRC's Making Tax Digital income threshold need compatible software for their tax records
  • Works in Microsoft Excel and free Google Sheets
  • Instant download, one-off payment

Questions

Something else? Get in touch and we'll help.

How long does it take to arrive?

It's instant. This is a digital download, so nothing is posted and there's no delivery wait. Your download link appears on the order confirmation page straight after payment and is emailed to you too. If you can't see the email, check your junk or spam folder.

Which countries can I buy from?

You can buy from the UK and the United States. US prices are shown in US dollars, and you can switch the spreadsheet to $ on the Start Here tab. We're working on opening up to more countries, so join our email list below to hear first.

Do I need Excel?

No. It works in Microsoft Excel and in free Google Sheets. In Google Sheets, go to File, Import, Upload and choose the file.

Will it work on a Mac, iPad or phone?

Yes, in Excel for Mac or Google Sheets in any browser. The Google Sheets app is handy for quick updates on your phone, but setting it up is easier on a bigger screen. Apple Numbers can open the file, but some features may not work the same.

Can I use it again next year?

Yes. It's a one-off payment with no subscription. Keep a clean copy and start a fresh one whenever you like.

How do I get my file?

You'll get a download link on the order confirmation page and by email as soon as you've paid.

Is this financial advice?

No. It's a planning tool that does the maths for you. For free, impartial guidance, see MoneyHelper.
